ON BUSINESS

Building successful businesses has always been a passion of mine and I’m lucky enough to have been able to make it my full-time profession. Here’s a summary of my experience:

 My first job was as a banker; promoted to manager of small branch at 19

 At 21 I started my first business in financial services. Built it from 0 to 629 customers in 4 years;  trebled my previous bank income in the first year and had trebled it again 3 years later

 At 25 I sold that business and accepted a role as Sales Manager of a team of 20 sales people. Grew it to 33 within 3 years and grew sales by 30%

 Have held 3 Sales Management roles in 3 industries including financial services (AMP), radio (The Radio Network) and confectionery (Prolife Foods)

 Have also built a total of 12 business across 8 different industry sectors

 One was an award-winning business that I franchised and grew to 19 franchisees across NZ. Went from 0-$3m turnover in 4 years. Another was a technology start up that sold software in 55 countries

 I have owned a confectionery brokerage business and successfully built a network of 17 independent distributors across NZ
